Metropolitan YMCA Singapore was blessed to host the 26th Six YMCAs Conference, which took place from November 1 to November 5, 2022.

Themed “A Reimagined YMCA”, the conference saw 16 overseas delegates from the Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, Osaka YMCA, Seoul YMCA, Taipei YMCA and YMCA of Honolulu, being able to re-connect and bond with each other in person after more than two years.

With unique events planned for them each day of the Conference, our overseas family were able to spend time reflecting, relating and rejuvenating their bodies, minds and spirit – while having first-hand experiences of the city-state.

Visits to Enabling Village, M.Y. World's sustainable preschool at Bukit Batok West Plains 1 & 2, and the Singapore Turf Club for some equine therapy were among the activities.

The delegates were also taken on a culinary adventure with Peranakan, Chinese, Fusion, and local street hawker cuisine from Lau Pa Sat, S17 Community Kitchen, Zing by Xi Yan, and New Ubin Seafood from the first meal to the last.

At the end of the Conference there were many new connections, exciting possibilities and partnerships, and above all - lifelong memories that both MYMCA and our guests will have.
